It's all Theatres and Games on our 8th day

We got woken up by our teacher at 7:30 a.m. like usually. After quickly freshening up we went downstairs in order to eat breakfast. We grabbed our backpacks, left the hostel and went down the hill to the bus.

We drove about an hour to our first attraction, the Minack Theatre. An unbelievably beautiful place with an amazing view of the sea. We made a short walk around it ourselves and, after that, a short video gave us some information about the theatre. Sitting at the stone seats, above us the clouds, in the background the Atlantic, we watched the show by an old man, the former gardener Billie Rowlings, who helped Rowena Cade build the place. (He was played by actor).

     
Back on the bus we went to Saint Ives in order to go surfing.We slipped into the wetsuits, grabbed our boards and went to our instructors. They taught us how to surf correctly and gave us some information about the dangers of the sea. The waves were great,perfect for surfing. We also saw blue jellyfish. The surfing was really fun and we are sure we will do it again.

1st day/journey to England/

3am - 54 kids sitting in a bus and ahead of us is a 14 hour bus drive. Let´s say it was kind of crazy. Of course the bus drive had funny parts and interesting conversations but in German we would describe it as "ZACH". There were some safety hazards because some people slept on the ground and nobody had their seatbelts on but it was more comfortable that way😉. Overall there isn´t much to say about the drive.                                                   Afterwards it was time to go onto the ship.  Let´s say it didn't start well, because we immediately got a task from our teachers Ernst Fischer, Elisabeth Ortbauer, Markus Hintereitner and Ulrike Moser. At the beginning it was a bit challenging for us because it was kind of awkward to speak to random strangers and interview them, but after we stepped out of our comfort zone we were...

All our bags are packed...

 ...we´re ready to go, leaving now... Just some images from our take-off last night, taken at 2.30 am - the kids from 4L and 5AT were really excited to leave and couldn´t wait for the coach (our luxury bus from Ratzenböck definitely deserves that name) to arrive and pack up. On our way now, and just approaching Hoeck van Holland, where we'll be boarding our overnight ferry - more about that later in our first students´ blog entry. And - do not fret, I am not really driving! ;-) ERF

Our first entry! This is us, the 5AT

  Hi guys,  this is us, the 5AT - and this is our new blog where we tell you things about our class, our activities and about our upcoming trip, our roadtrip to England. We will keep anyone who is interested updated here - with pics and infos about everyday we spent in England travelling around the country. There will be many things to see, so you can expect some interesting information. In addition to that, we will then provide regular updates in the future, so let´s hope you keep coming back to check out our site.
